Roles and Responsibility:

  • The ETL developer's responsibility is to ensure that the goals of the business with regards to data management are met.
  • The developer should be able to design and implement a plan for all types of data movement or modification requested.
  • He/she should have intimate knowledge of the database schema and the data itself.
  • The ETL developer has a full understanding of each step in the ETL process and can write ETL mappings/workflows with scripts, packages, mappings, etc. (depending on the tool).
  • Analysis, development, QA, implementation, monitoring and administration of the ETL process.
  • Contribute in Risk Analysis, data quality clean-ups and queries
  • Implement and analyse reports that enable data driven risk mitigating decisions and actions
  • Partner with other Development and Support teams to expand existing data marts and build out the IT Risk Dashboard
  • Define and document new data mart and business object technical changes
  • Collect and map data feeds from various sources, including ServiceNow and internal systems like A2RM, A2P, IAC, SharePoint etc.
  • Identify and report data discrepancy & issues related to data
  • Log and track bug fixes and enhancement requests using JIRA
  • Effectively communicate technical knowledge, issues and resolutions to functional owners and internal core team members
  • Resilience to internal challenges
  • Harmonize with regional counterparts and extend required assistance
