Roles and Responsibility

Mandatory Skills is Ansible/Puppet/Chef [Any Tool]

 Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product owners, Developers and Support teams for Critical applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex code issues and suggest or provide solutions.
  • Write scripts to automate the provisioning, monitoring and maintenance of systems in a distributed, enterprise environment
  • Working closely with engineering, development and operational teams to identify automation opportunities and solutions to currently manual work practices
  • Ensure environment performance, reliability and availability.
  • Exploring new technologies to optimize the delivery and reliability of automation
  • Interfacing with internal customers, inputting into technical solutions, advising on best practice and validating new implementations
  • Developing and promoting standard operating procedures and creating processes and tooling for operation efficiency
  • Develop, analyze and maintain tools that automate processes for configuration management and Resiliency.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in scripting language, preferably Python, PowerShell and Shell Scripting
  • Conceptualize, architect and build a containerized infrastructure using Docker, Mesosphere or similar PaaS platforms.
  • Experience with Configuration Management tool like Ansible/Puppet/Chef
  • Experience in provision and orchestration tool like Terraform, Packer, Spinnaker, and Run Deck.
  • Experience in cloud hosting cloud foundry, AWS, Azure, and Open Stack.
  • Additional software engineering skills include – Java, UI development and database.
  • Knowledge of IT-industry accepted configuration management practices, policies and procedures.
  • Experience in all phases of structured lie cycle.
  • Knowledge of standard TCP/IP networking (ability to understand fundamentals such as sub-netting, NAT and basic TCP port assignments e.g. HTTP => port  80)
  • Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
  • Experience administering application servers, web servers, and databases (Tomcat, WebSphere, Nginx, Microsoft IIS, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a Linux or Windows environment
  • Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
  • Experience with devops tools, processes and culture
  • Strong sense of ownership and pride in the work you do
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects/Tasks at one time.
  • 8 + (Eight) years of experience in Devops and Automation.
