Job Description:

  • SDET should understand the test plans, test specifications and should be able to generate test scenarios and test cases as prescribed by the development team
  • Candidate should understand and adapt to the organization wide test and automation framework and help increase the unit test coverage for the inflight programs
  • Hands on experience Design, Coding and automation development
  • Experience on test plans, test spec creations and test processes
  • A test mentality and methodology with a strong focus on user scenario testing
  • Experience in various types of testing (Unit, Functional, Regression, End-to-End testing)
  • Should be able to understand the in-house framework and suggest changes, if possible
  • Drive improvements in unit testing coverage, design test framework, develop test suites, expand automated testing harness and automate scenarios/cases
  • Development responsibilities include bug analysis, analyzing development and test impacts and identifying automation opportunities
  • Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of automated tests accurately and in timely manner, debugging to find root cause, validation of the resolved ones and closing it
  • Practical knowledge in analyzing, designing, and developing solutions to complex problems

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • SDET will be a part of team that primarily supports unit test automation
  • The developer will design implement, code, test and maintain the unit test automation aspects
  • The person will prepare and review required documentation as per needs
  • In addition, they will perform modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures
  • Applies best practice for test automation, aligning to the organization wide framework adoption
  • Supports development teams with database object creation, procedures, triggers, etc
  • Supports software development and test teams throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Includes incremental script execution and defect resolution
  • Implements custom software releases
