Job Description L4 (Expert):
Management level definitions
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- May have Master’s degree in related field.
- Often holds intermediate-level certification(s) in work field.
- Typically 8 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Apply deep and broad technical background and knowledge of industry trends to operate several critical or high risk technology areas/customer groups.
- Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create superior solutions for the company and for customers.
- Mentor/consult with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues.
- Mentor/assist less-experienced team members on complex incidents.
- Identify, mange, and lead escalations through L4.
- Work with others to help manage escalations through L5.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan | - Perform/interact with Customer for a requirement and customize the Plan based on HP standard reference architecture/Best practices
- Participate with other specific technical services in a Peer review of a customer Plan.
- Consult/Contribute with HP Design and Architecture resources for new emerging technology POC’s
- Deliver draft project timeline/effort estimates for the solution to HP Project manager for customer approval.

Design | - Participate in Pre-sales/deal engagement discussion
- Design an initial response for a customer requirement using HP solutions.
- Build a final customer design with Business, Financial, Technical and cross-technology document for delivery Operation solution/cost estimates
- Participate in Peer review of design with other specific technical services.
- Assist Pre-sales/deal/ABM in the customer presentation of HP solution/BOM/POC.
- Review on approval/rejection the changes recommended by customer/pre-sales/deal team on a design. Request for POC’s from Architect team if the changes need Lab review.

Solution Design | - Apply the company's solutions or, when justified by business needs, create solutions to meet highly complex customer and/or trade/IT infrastructure needs.
- Provide feedback to create new the company solution sets.

Change order (Upselling) | - Responsible for reviewing the additional scope or new technology migrations as change order requested from Customer.
- Review schedules/deliverables using HP standard Portfolio baselines.
- Assist Client management team to negotiate/approval the change order and effort estimates with customer.
- Deploy the change order using Project management process
- Create delivery ops document to hand-off the deployed environment
- Participate in the customer future planning meeting with roadmaps of emerging technology /CI consolidation analysis/ Resource optimizations and Assist customer/HP Client management team to build sales opportunity.

Cost Management | - Propose Change orders / Automation Projects/Consolidation, technology Migration projects with ADM/Customer.
- Use HP standard presales costing guidelines for customer requested short term project on HP supported CI's and work with ADM on financials of these out of scope changes.
- Develop automation and standardization on delivery of project to reduce project cost charge-out.

Vendor Management | - Participate in new and emerging technologies Vendor update that may be applied to customer needs (Technical Reviews)
- Accountable on scheduling/sharing new Release/Feature/concept for Vendor emerging technology trainings/seminars/sessions to Delivery Ops

Security Management | - Provide input to security policies.

Quality | - May provide feedback/influence change in internal and/or vendor-provided products/service offerings.

Transformation | - Develop a transformation plan and go-live checklist for delivery Organization.
- Manage datacenter migration for fork lift of servers from customer datacenter to HP datacenter.
- Maintain HP infrastructure standards implementation checklist to transform/migrate Customer assets in HP Manage services delivery.
- Review with delivery resources Compliance on Configuration management updates for customer assets
- Co-ordinate delivery Ops RTPA process and review the sign-off on Risk/Impacts on contractual SLO’s for delivery OPS.
- Own transformation project to address risk/impacts and bring customer assets in HP standard to meet SLO targets for a specific technology service.

Project Delivery Management | - Participate, propose, and/or lead complex customer and internal projects, including transformation, across technology/ customers and/or internal businesses/end user’s areas. Provide review/advice to projects inside/outside responsibility areas.

- Experience in Copy Services
- Certification in AIX or Linux
- Excellent Oral and written Communication Skills
- Good Trouble-Shooting / Problem Solving Skills
- Exposure to Data Migration Tools like PlateSpin
- Exposure to Cloud Platform.
