Roles and Responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Write quality application and service layer code to support high volume consumer support website
  • Create accessible, dynamic interfaces with AJAX, JavaScript (particularly React library), HTML and CSS
  • Quickly and effectively understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions while adhering to the agreed specification
  • Contribute to reduction of technical debt within legacy applications while building towards common goals

 

Desired Skills:

  • noSQL DB experience (such as MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of both Kubernetes & Docker

 

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Extensive Java and Spring development experience, preferably gained on complex, multi-tier, web-based business applications
  • Knowledge and experience of agile software development processes and methodologies
  • Experience using version control (Git) and ticket tracking systems (JIRA)
  • Solid understanding of Continuous Integration best practices
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • More than 7 years of experience

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Microservice-oriented architectures & REST based web service development
  • Experience with production platforms such as Azure & Docker in a cloud-hosted environment
  • Comfortable with test driven development, pair programming, and experience working with remote team members
  • Experience developing global websites localized into multiple languages
