Roles and Responsibility

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer/Test develops and executes test plans and automated tests for new features, new hardware and functionality of Ruckus ICX products.

This role will have responsibility to work with multiple Test Engineers in ARRIS India and inArris/Ruckus Sunnyvale to deliver test execution.

 

This role also require experience in IP product testing , working Software and Hardware Development to help understand the features, derive test plans, strategy and drive test executions. Must be able to demonstrate strong proficiency in testing one or more of the following areas :

 

  • Experience in performing platform qualification tests on new products/hardware which includes copper/fiber links(1G/2.5G/10G) testing, Optics testing(1GF/10GF), memory, flash components testing from Linux
  • Layer 2 protocols such as Spanning Tree, Rapid Spanning Tree (RSTP) 802.1w, MSTP, VLANs, LACP/LAG, VSRP, MRP,etc
  • Experience in stacking solutions and QoS testing.
  • IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VRRP, PIM, etc.
  • Security protocols/features such as IP ACLs(V4/V6), Traffic Policy/Ratelimiting, DOS Attack, DHCP Snooping, DynamicArpInspection, IPSourceGuard and MAC Filters
  • Network Access Control (NAC) - IEEE 802.1x, Authentication, cloud management software and working with policy managers.
  • NMS – Sflow, AAA, DHCP server/client, SNMP,
  • Hands on experience in TCL/Expect, Python, Perl scripting languages
  • Hands on experience in using Spirent Test Center traffic generators
  • Experience with system test topologies, planning and execution.
  • Exposure to issue reproduction, root cause analysis and testing. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • It is important for the candidate to be able to understand feature requirements and translate to test cases and test automation.
