Roles and Responsibility

Skills:

·         CloudBees Jenkins set-up & configuration (Installation, security (RBAC), Master and Build agents, Plug-in)

·         SonarQube set-up & configuration (Installation, security, enforce quality gates, add new rules etc.)

·         Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible

 

Job Description:

·         The primary objective of the mission is to provide technical assistance to build central DevOps platform based on set of recommended tools and manage the platform in run mode

·         Configuring and deploying Docker containers

·         Liaising with Infrastructure and IT Security teams to open appropriate ports and routes

·         Writing automation scripts (Unix Shell / Windows PowerShell / Python)

·         Mange the platform/tools in run mode? Bit bucket, Cloudbees Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory (non-inclusive list below)

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Onboarding applications / users to central platform

·         Support application teams for platform related issues(example build failures due to platform issue, plug-in incompatible)

·         Tool Administration, version / plug-in upgrade? testing, roll-out

·         Set-up and run house-keeping jobs (clean-up, archive etc.)

·         Help optimize the end to end process

 

 

Additional Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Developing production code in place of actual developers; fixing bugs

·         Deploying and releasing software into production environments

·         More generally, using pipeline? S components in place of their actual end-users

·         Required skillset

·         Ability to communicate and collaborate with various IT functions (Infra, Security, Middleware etc.)

·         Hands on expertise in tools- Bitbucket, Cloudbees Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory

·         Ability to recommend best practices to set up DevOps platform (prior experience in setting up and managing the DevOps platform with integrated tool chain)

·         Ability to quickly learn new tools as required and be updated on innovations / new tools emerging in market

·         Java development background (REST API experience)

·         Unix Shell / Windows PowerShell / Python / Groovy

·         Application servers: Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS

·         RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL

·         Additional skills

·         Experience in Infrastructure as code, Containers (Ansible, Docker, Rancher)

·         Automated testing

·         Agile software development, Scrum
