Job Description:
Administer MongoDB to achieve
100% availability
In-depth understanding of
MongoDB HA strategies, including replica sets and shard
Design & implement shard
and indexing strategies for MongoDB
Implement and maintain MMS (MongoDB
Management Services)
Assist developers in
detecting performance problems using MMS and Mongo Profiler
Establish and maintain backup
and recovery processes
Monitor and tune performance
of MongoDB Databases
Backup and restores (Backups
should be automated with shell scripts/Ops Manager)
Export and Import of Data to
and From MongoDB, Run time configuration of MongoDB, upgrades (Java version,
Mongo version etc.)
Segregation of duties (User
Management designing User roles and responsibilities)
Implement appropriate indexes
(B-Tree, Geospatial and Text) for performance improvement
Implement Mongo Management
Service for automating a variety of tasks, including backup/recovery and
performance management (nice to have)
