Business Intelligence Competence Centre (BICC)

normalized Telecom Data Model works to get a clear view on specifications and
requirements
Create the Low Level Design
for the specifications implement these specifications by using the
configuration tools (Ab Initio ACE, Ab Initio MDWP, Shell) in place
You have to understand the
different configuration options to be creative regarding special specifications
Besides configuration, custom
development need to be done that requires a deep knowledge of ETL development
(Ab Initio Co-Operating System, Ab Initio GDE, Shell and Perl)
Work closely with product
vendors in case defects in the products (Ab Initio MDW, Ab Initio MDWP) are
detected
Perform a Unit Test on the
implementations you have done
Perform a System Test on the
implementation of other developers these again demand a deep understanding of
the complete flow Implement new and changed applications in development, test,
preproduction and production environments
Ensure proper implementation
in production environments by supporting deployment team
Ensure proper functionality
of technical application interfaces
