Perform complex database
programming by writing SQL procedures on large-scale databases

Develop new database schema /
objects and/or review existing objects to improve storage efficiency and access
·
Creating, reviewing,
analyzing, and modifying SQL scripts, procedures and supporting programs to
ensure proper execution, efficient operation, and sustainable coding constructs
·
Writing technical procedures
and/or supporting documentation for the applications including operational
usage or procedures, user guides, etc
·
Conduct code reviews on
existing procedures, as well as enhancements and new features
·
Proven ability to perform
technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database
issues
·
Knowledge of data analysis,
end user requirements analysis, and business requirements analysis to ensure a
clear understanding of the business needs and to incorporate these needs into
technical solutions
·
Conducting data analysis to
identify data integrity issues within databases, interfaces, or other data
related repositories
·
Applying quality controls to
work functions including appropriate testing and validation of new or modified
programs prior to deployment
·
Demonstrating and applying
reasonable and practical security controls within the SQL and database environments
to minimize security risks
·
Ability to develop and debug
complex stored procedures, functions and triggers in –SQL
·
Advanced knowledge in
scripting in Unix/Linux environment
·
String knowledge on
Analytical database systems
·
Advanced proficiency with
Oracle SQL (e.g. complex views/joins, analytical functions, regular
expressions, table partitioning, materialized views, distributed transactions)
and Oracle SQL Performance/Tuning
·
Contribute to the design,
implementation, support and ongoing enhancement of our data warehouse and data
mart environments
·
Create source-to-target
mapping specifications for ETL development
·
Hands-on experience in design
and implementation of ETL framework for complex data warehouse projects using
Informatica – ETL
·
Extensive experience in
scheduling and managing Informatica Jobs
·
Understand reusability,
parameterization, workflow design, ETL
·
Designing and developing ETL
solutions using Informatica that follow the in-house ETL development standards;
managing program coding for the extraction of data from all existing source
systems, transforming data to industry standards and generating extract files
