The Engineering & DevOps
team is responsible for the design, deployment and operation of Instinet's
development ecosystem. This platform includes the following tools:

Jira Software - Issue
tracking software used to plan, schedule and monitor work on our in-house
software
·
Jira Service Desk - Helpdesk
software used to raise, track and manage support tickets on behalf of internal
and external clients
·
Confluence - Online
documentation based allowing teams to collaboratively edit and review
documentation
·
GitLab - Git repository
manager deployed to manage source code and execute continuous integration
pipelines
·
Jenkins - Continuous
integration sever managing the execution of continuous integration pipelines
and other automated jobs
·
Nexus - Artifact repository
deployed to manage third-party dependencies and internally published software
·
SonarQube - Static analysis
tool producing metrics on software source code
·
The successful candidate will
take responsibility for the management and day-to-day running of these tools
Responsibilities:
·
Jira and Confluence system
administration
·
Managing the planning and
delivery regular software upgrades
·
Management of Jira workflows,
working with development groups to allow for flexibility & customization
·
Helping align projects and
encouraging consistency where possible to simplify rolled-up reporting
·
Develop, document and
implement best practises for the adoption of the development tooling ecosystem
·
Troubleshooting Jira and
Confluence user inquiries, including diagnosing permission and access related
issues
·
Collaboration with
stakeholders to improve transparency and communication around product roadmaps
·
Implement a change control
process for the management of configuration changes in the development tools
ecosystem
·
Leverage automated testing to
verify the compatibility of software upgrades with existing workflows
·
Willing to learn new
technologies/ tools, as required, in order to effectively delivering output
