Install, configure and upgrade Oracle server software and
related products in a UNIX environment

Design, create, maintain and insure recoverability of Oracle databases
in a UNIX environment

Responsible for 7x24 support and on-call support for production
databases. Work in rotational shifts with weekend on-call rotation

Allocate systems storage and develop plans for future storage
requirements. (Capacity planning)
·
Establish effective database performance monitoring procedures
·
Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain
database security
·
Provide reliable, recoverable and scalable database computing
environments to store and integrate company data
·
Set up and maintain documentation and standards
·
Experience in upgrades/patching and managing vendor support
·
Expert skills in Oracle database backup and recovery
·
Extensive experience with Oracle 10g and 11g and 12c with RAC
and Dataguard
·
Experience in design and implementation of highly available,
scalable Oracle database solutions
·
Experience with database replication technologies (Data
Guard/Standby, MView, Advanced Replication, and Streams)
·
Experience utilizing Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring
and management
·
Experience managing large sized databases
·
Strong scripting experience
·
Knowledge of networking and enterprise systems architecture
·
Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet
project deadlines, and work under pressure
·
Excellent communication, customer service and people skills
·
Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from customers, staff and employees
·
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
·
Strong Team work capabilities - during problem/crisis situations
·
Experience in Cloud Database Management is Plus
·
Working knowledge in MongoDB, MYSQL & PostGre will be added
advantage
·
Knowledge in scripting like Ansible, Python
