Roles and Responsibility

Job Title: IT Network Engineer

Experience: 6 to 8 Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities:

·       Establishing the networking environment by defining, executing, monitoring and documenting the operational activities, defining, documenting and enforcing process in place.

·       Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.

·       Monitoring the network operational teams and help, the team in isolating and correcting the LAN or WAN faults identified during the operations.

·       Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access.

·       The support and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy.

·       Reporting network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects.

·       The configuration of DNS, DHCP, and proxy domains.

·       Basic analysis of the issue and owning the case till the resolution is provided for certain domains of network.

·       Remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during troubleshooting.

·       Liaising with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis.

·       Speaking with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture.

·       Steer the operational calls between any technical vendor and with onshore counterparts as well.

·       Drive the meeting with Onshore SME and technical discussion with the vendors

 

Requirements:

·       Experience in Team coordination & knowledge documentation (Mandatory)

·       Experience in problem management (Mandatory)

·       Good Knowledge on Switching and Routing (Mandatory)

·       Experience in DNS and DHCP - (Mandatory).

·       Experience in IP sub-netting - (Mandatory)

·       Knowledge of Cisco Wireless Technology - (Mandatory)

·       Knowledge in VPN and Checkpoint /Fortigate Firewall - (Mandatory)

·       ITIL process knowledge- (Mandatory)

·       Troubleshooting Network Issues ? (Mandatory)

·       Understanding of Internet Proxy for Enterprise and knowledge of Zscaler Cloud Proxy (Mandatory)

·       Working hands on experience on Infoblox (Desirable)

·       Working hands on experience in Zscaler portals (Desirable)

·       Knowledge of Zero trust network and Zscaler Private Access (Desirable)

Skill requirements:

·       BCA/MCA/BE/B.Tech or equivalent experience.

·       Mandatory - CCNA or relevant.

·       Advantage - ITIL foundation certification.

·       6 to 8 years relevant experience in Network Domain
