Roles and Responsibility

Job title: Data Retention Analyst

Experience: 2-4 years

Notice period: Immediate to 15 days

Location: Bangalore

JD:

Key Responsibilities:

·       Implement policies and procedures for data retention, disposal, and archiving.

·       Work closely with various departments to identify data retention requirements.

·       Develop and maintain a retention schedule for different types of data.

·       Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to data retention.

·       Monitor data retention policies and procedures to ensure they are being followed.

·       Develop and implement data destruction processes to ensure secure disposal of data.

·       Perform data analysis to identify potential data retention issues and recommend solutions.

·       Stay up to date with changing legal and regulatory requirements related to data retention.

·       Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and maintain data retention policies and procedures

·       Develop and deliver training programs on data retention policies and procedures.

Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

·       Proven experience of 2+ years as a Data Retention Analyst or in a similar role.

·       Strong knowledge of data retention policies, legal requirements, and best practices.

·       Experience with data analysis and developing retention schedules.

·       Understanding of Data Management & Data Governance principles.

·       Understanding of Risk Management.

·       Already played a data role in any domain.

·       Knowledge of data destruction processes and secure data disposal methods.

·       Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with various departments.

·       Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Knowledge of industry-specific regulations related to data retention.

·       Project Management

·       Able to perform Elicitation of needs

·       Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is good to have.

·       Experience in developing and delivering training programs
