Roles and Responsibility

Job title: Network Engineer L1

Experience: 1-3 Years

Notice period: Immediate to 15 days

Network Engineer Requirements

·       Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.

·       Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.

·       Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.

·       Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.

·       Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.

·       Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.

·       Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.

·       Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.

·       A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.

·       Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Dependable and flexible when necessary.

·       Network security, LAN, and WAN experience.

Key Areas

·       Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.

·       Perform 24 X 7 Monitoring of the critical parameters of the network such as the following but not limited to: Device/ availability, Link Uptime, Bandwidth utilization of links, Utilization parameters of networking devices like routers, Access points, switches e.g., CPU ?Hardware failures, Interface Status, Security, Link Quality, Latency (SLA met or not).

·       Install and configure managed network equipment like switches, access points, WLAN controllers, routers, network monitoring tools, etc.

·       Maintain IP schema for the equipment connected to the network i.e., desktops, Switches, access points, and routers.

·       Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.

·       Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.

·       Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.

·       Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.

·       Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.

·       Resolving network connectivity problems & Trouble LAN/WAN/Wireless problems including core routers, switches, access points, and any other network devices.

·       Reports on work performance, Bandwidth utilization, Link monitoring, and analysis reports will be generated as per requirement and shared with the respective location.

·       Follow defined network Change   Management process and incident management.

·       Vendor coordination to be done for troubleshooting network-related incidents.

·       Router, load balancer & other LAN/WAN/Wireless device management remotely.

·       Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made. Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.

·       Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.

·       Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software
