Experience
Essential:
· 3 to 6 years of product design &
development experience in automotive seating system components (Structures, foams,
plastics & Jit components)
· Working experience in component
& system level designing
· Proficiency in NX / CATIA along with
Team center / Enovia PLM system
· Good Knowledge in Manufacturing
& Assembly feasibility study
· Experience in component level and
full vehicle DVP&R and DFMEA
· Knowledge on plastic part design and
tooling feasibility confirmation
· Knowledge on seating system
regulatory and certification requirements
· Good in CAD modelling, technical
report writing, timeline creation & management, and communication &
presentation skills
· Work experience with International
Tier 1 and OEMS
Desirable:
· Familiarity with GD&T and
dimensional engineering
· Knowledge of strength, durability,
regulatory and safety requirements for seating system
· Automation / customization in NX /
CATIA activities

· Expertise in UG NX / CATIA V5/V6 and
Enovia / Team center
· Knowledge in MS-Office
Key Roles
& Responsibilities:
· Support the design, development, and
release of all seating system related components
· Support will include standardization
plan development, interface with product design office, vehicle development,
other Interior engineering teams, and suppliers to design, develop and release
· Responsible for internal design
practice / regulation conformity on all applicable components / system
· Responsible for quality design
proposal(s) within stipulated timeline to all related components
· Support for technical documentation
to include DFMEAs & DVP&Rs
Support
actively within a cross-functional teams, and plant teams on the greater
benefit of the vehicle
Maintain
EBOMs and manage data releases in accordance with program milestones
Collaborate
with suppliers to ensure technical excellence
Support for
quality improvements, cost reduction, and validation
Benchmarking,
DFM, and DFA studies as and when required
Design
Support for the virtual analysis teams to meet various Regulatory and test
requirements
