Roles and Responsibility

Job Title: GCP Devops Engineer

Experience: 6-14 Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Design and Automation:

·       Design, implement, and manage infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.

·       Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline deployment, scaling, and monitoring of cloud resources.

Networking and Security:

·       Configure and manage networking components such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, routes, and load balancers on GCP.

·       Implement and maintain firewall rules, security policies, and access controls to ensure a secure cloud environment.

·       Familiarity with VPC Service Controls (VPCSC) and experience in setting up secure perimeter controls.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):

·       Apply SRE principles and practices to build scalable, reliable, and resilient systems on GCP.

·       Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime and optimize performance.

Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD):

·       Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

·       Ensure code quality, version control, and automated testing practices are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.

Collaboration and Team Support:

·       Collaborate with development teams to understand infrastructure requirements and provide technical guidance on cloud architecture best practices.

·       Mentor junior team members, conduct knowledge sharing sessions, and contribute to the growth of the DevOps team.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

·       6-14 years of experience in DevOps roles with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

·       Strong expertise in GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Stackdriver monitoring.

·       Experience with networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, VPNs, DNS, and CDN.

·       Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

·       Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

·       Certification in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) is preferred.

·       Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset.

·       Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
