Review and research securities requiring additional research
and/or possible fair value pricing due to various corporate actions or other
market and significant events
·
Manage and process market level fair value production tasks
through assessment and analysis of market level activity
·
Produce and manage Fair Value reporting to the various valuation
committees and Fund Boards
·
Act as a liaison with portfolio management and the Valuation
Committee to establish fair value as it relates to investments in illiquid
securities, securities for which market quotations are not readily available,
and/or securities that require special valuation consideration
·
Work with both internal and external auditors on any requests /
inquiries related to FYE audits, SOX, SOC1, SEC audits, control analysis, etc.
·
Assist the supervisor and management in keeping abreast of
significant events that may impact the valuation of the firm’s mutual funds
·
Review emails, news flashes, and regulatory guidance to enhance
the department’s ability to evaluate prices and take action to provide timely
representations of fair market value
·
Manage and process all Fair Value production pricing related
activities including: Market Level Fair Value and Fair Value by Management
Appraisal
·
Coordinate and complete all tasks and activities for the monthly
Valuation Committee and provide Fair Value oversight and management expertise
as needed
·
Prepare, Review and Coordinate distribution of all Fair Value
Board Reporting
·
Manage and respond to all fair value pricing research, audit and
ad-hoc inquiries
·
Coordinate and complete all Fair Value Pricing daily requests
from internal and external entities
·
Manage the Portfolio Management relationship and act as the
liaison between Portfolio Management and the VC
·
Handle Special Projects and Audit requests
