Roles and Responsibility

·         As a Fin Crime Analyst, you will be part of our Global Compliance Assurance Team

·         Reporting directly to the Compliance Team Lead

·         You will be responsible for the monitoring of Financial Crime, primarily market abuse, anti-money laundering and PEPs and Sanctions screening

·         Subject to your experience and the skills you learn you may specialize in one or more areas of financial crime surveillance

·         Investigation of potentially suspicious trading activity for indications of Market Abuse or other financial crime

·         This involves reviewing alerts triggered by bespoke surveillance tools, and investigating internal referrals received from the wider business

·         Conducting analysis of internal alerts to identify potential Money Laundering, Fraud and Terrorist Financing risks

·         Making recommendations for and performing enhanced client due diligence using a risk based approach and following up on requests to ensure all necessary actions are completed

·         Timely escalation of analytical findings to internal supervisors and reporting any suspected market abuse, money laundering and terrorism financing activities to the appropriate regulators and enforcement bodies when necessary

·         Performing PEP, Sanction and Negative News screening checks to identify business relationships that pose risk to the firm. Taking immediate action and escalating proposals for action in the case of true hits and recording why others are false positives

·         Generally assisting business operations by responding to day to day queries and assisting in the development and implementation of necessary ad hoc business changes whether regulatory or business driven

·         Preparing responses to regulatory requests or law enforcement agencies

·         Assist in reviewing, creating and updating compliance procedure and manual

·         Engaging with front-office business representatives and local compliance officers
