This person will
be a member of a global 24/7/365 IT infrastructure operations team focused on
enterprise backup and recovery. This role specifically is focused primarily on
administrating and providing support for Enterprise data protection and
self-service restores. Our IT engineers can expect to work with cutting edge
technology in a large, fast-paced, and dynamic enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
Provides T1/T2
support to the Disk based solution, Veritas NetBackup backup, NetApp snapmirror
backups, Rubrik / Igneous and Cohesity infrastructure.
Monitor and
troubleshoot service availability, capacity, and reliability.
Perform restore
& ediscovery requests as required.
Perform system
maintenance such as OS and application patching.
Lifecycle
management for device archives.
Interface with
other internal IT teams and external vendors for partnering and support.
Attend internal
operational review meetings to gather feedback, address issues, address concerns.
Conduct monthly
meetings with vendor support on service quality, operational issues, roadmap,
etc.
Use, create,
update scripts & dashboards used to increase efficiency, spot trends, and
reduce errors.
Maintaining
documentation and knowledge base (Confluence, Sharepoint, Servicenow Knowledge
Base) for both service desk and Tier 2 operations consumption.
KPI &
compliance reporting.
Experience with
these tools and technologies preferred:
Cohesity
Intermediate
level knowledge on NAS and SAN technologies.
Netapp
cluster mode operations (with focus on data protection options like
Snap mirrors).
Operating
systems like Linux and Solaris.
Automation using
any one of (Python, Perl or Shell).
Veritas
NetBackup 8.X.X.
Oracle and Spectralogic
tape libraries.
Cohesity Data
protect.
Aptare Reporting or custom reporting.
Basic knowledge
on Ansible is desired.

Education -
Required - Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and /or
relevant experience. Certifications of data protection tools would be a plus.
