Role Summary:

As a Quality member, you will oversee testing of applications developed by custom development. You will be involved in end-to-end processes and metrics for software testing within the organization and own the implementation of integration and other level of testing. You will collaborate with project managers and software developers to establish reporting metrics, test scenarios, and efficiencies through manual testing and streamlining QA techniques to achieve quality objectives

Key Responsibilities:

Analyzing the requirement from testing perspective.

Creating test plans and writing test scripts.

Closely working with project manager and product owner to identify the risk areas & derive appropriate regression test suite to minimize the identified risk.

Managing the defects logged and tracking them till they get closed.

Performing RCA over the defects logged.

Support for system testing and integration testing.

 

Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills Applicable to All Streams (Functional, Automation & Performance):

Well versed with testing methodologies particularly with more focus of Agile methodologies.

Previous experience of testing Microsoft applications, Workday.

Ability to find, file and manage bugs, aggressively driving quality.

Experience in testing Web applications, Microsoft applications, and standalone desktop applications.

Experience in using development tools such as Visual Studio 2013 or higher, configuration and design tools such as TFS, Visio, UML, etc.

Exposure to Defect Tracking tool i.e. TFS, MTM.

Experience in SQL DB validation skills.

Must have demonstrated a growing proficiency in testing, medium to large applications including the following areas; web services, web sites, database, authentication, configuration, and debugging.

In depth knowledge in Regression Testing.

Experience in creating Test Plans, Test Strategy and Test Exit Reports.

Ability to communicate & reporting on-going testing progress to Project stakeholders.

Experience in creating good Daily Status Reports (DSR) to relevant. Stakeholders of the project.

Must have proven ability to provide project estimates and work-breakdown schedules.

Ability to independently create test data as per the requirements.

Bringing out the alternative solutions/suggestions in case of technical issues arising out of the day-to-day work activities.

 

Technical Skills Applicable to Automation:

Good knowledge of Selenium, TestNG and Maven.

Should be able to mentor other team members for testing automation.

Have good hands-on experience in implementing Automation framework.

Have good hands-on experience in implementation and/or maintenance of an automated functional testing (framework, test suites).

Responsible for providing test automation metrics and other reports.

Proven analytical skills, able to independently develop functional test automations with little support from the manual functional testers.

Strong experience in front-end automation tools for Web and Desktop applications, including but not limited to Selenium, Winium, WinApp, UFT, Test Complete.

Strong experience in developing back-end automated tests (REST APIs and data validation).

Hands on experience in building & maintaining a Hybrid/Data-driven automation framework.

Should be able to customize various framework components on as-needed basis.

 

Technical skills Applicable to Performance:

Experience with relevant tools along with APM tools.

Experience with Oracle, Reporting and iManage applications.

Experience with scripting and testing using LoadRunner, Neoload and JMeter.

Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products.

Ability to create reusable performance test scripts.

 

Preferred but not mandatory:

ISTQB or ISEB certification foundation level.

Exhibiting similar knowledge on usage of other Test Management Tools when worked on other tools (Ex: Must be able to relate the features/concepts of ALM into MTM/TFS or vice versa).

 

Education and Experience:

Requires bachelors in engineering Degree or equivalent.

8-10 years professional experience in testing.
