VBA Developer - Sr Analyst
The team
This role is part of the Business Systems team which is part of the Government & Public sector. The team is responsible for designing and driving different solutions for different teams at different levels. With a focus on innovation, we continuously seek ways to enhance and optimize existing deliverables and create new solutions. The team is uniquely positioned in practice to identify and implement next-generation solutions. Professionals in this process are responsible for assessment, design, development, testing, enhancement, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and support of new or existing tools and applications. The team drives the implementation of end-to-end solutions and analysis that provide our clients and leadership with the consumable information and insight they need to drive better business decisions, and address challenges.
Work you?ll do
- Work with internal teams to Identify improvements in the current existing process
- Partners with the stakeholders to ensure requirements are optimized and implemented efficiently, effectively, and following business objectives
- Research, Review and analyze the existing reports to build process efficiency
- Independently design, develop, test, and implement simple to complex automation solutions per business requirements.
- Advise clients in making strategic decisions and implementing intelligent automation solutions in functional areas such as Finance & Accounting
- Serve as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology-enabled solutions tailored to solve business challenges
- Work with leaders to develop strategy and governance for the broader organizational automation program and goals
- Standardization/automation of existing reports/dashboards using VBA, Office Scripts, SQL, and other technologies
- Carry out proficient programming using VBA and excel functions.
- Gather reporting requirements from various stakeholders, architect the solution/report, Understand/analyze the source data and deliver the reports promptly
- Understand the existing VBA-based tools and codes to provide effective production support.
- Gain a clear understanding of the improvement requirements from the stakeholders and work towards it.
- Knowledge on creating forms using VBA and connecting with different platforms
- Working knowledge on SQL and one of the data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI or Qlik
- Ability to handle large datasets and present reports which is easy to comprehend the client?s requirements.
- Establishing data management standards, procedures, and best practices while data cleansing, data wrangling, and data mapping
- Experience in reviewing query performance and optimizing code
- Experience in the development of database objects including stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to share process/reporting knowledge with the team
- Design and Develop the Automated solution for Sanity Testing for various repeatable activities.
- Good experience in Data modeling and building semantic layer (Star, Snowflake, De-normalized).
- Build various technical documentation like test cases and improvement designs.
- Work on various SAP-based applications.
- Ability to ideate and work with cross teams to automate or streamline processes.
- Continue to innovate and bring incremental process improvements wherever possible
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
4-7 years of Experience with VBA, Office scripts, and any other automation scripts.
Demonstrate strong communication skills to translate technical software solutions to non-technical clients
Ability to consult and direct on clients? needs for automation centered around business processes
Experience in process design and process improvement experience a plus
Advanced written, verbal analytical, and communications skills required
Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
Ability to work in a virtual team environment
Familiarity with agile project methodology
Familiarity with systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
Key Skills
4-7 years of Experience with VB Script, VBA, Office scripts, and any other automation scripts.
Demonstrate strong communication skills to translate technical software solutions to non-technical clients
Work with internal teams to Identify improvements in the current existing process
