Roles and Responsibility

Role & Responsibilities:


Np- 15days to Immediate 

 

Instinet DBA team manages and supports the DBA servers across all geographies - on premise as well as in AWS cloud platform. The team works in follow-the-sun model in collaboration with the team in US.

 

This is an individual contributor position within Mumbai IT team and is a critical part of our Engineering organization.

 

Detailed role and responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Installation, maintenance, upgrades, and release management of databases
  • Database monitoring, performance tuning, database backup, clustering, replication, scripting to automate processes.
  • Develop and troubleshoot database stored procedures and functions.
  • Develop, document, and deploy database technical services.
  • Perform database backup and restore, ensure data recovery, maintenance, data integrity and space requirements
  • Provide top-level technical assistance to business units and Customer Support department.
  • Work with peers and other support organizations to deploy new services.
  • Operate in teamwork environment with internal and external customers.

 

Shifts (rotation basis):

  • Mon to Friday 8.30 am IST to 5.30 pm IST
  • Mon to Friday 1.30 pm IST to 10.30 pm IST
  • Weekend support ? ad hoc project basis / on rotation
