Roles and Responsibility

JD For MongoDB DBA:

Exp - 5 to 8years

Np - 15days to Immediate


  • 8+ years of relevant Experience with Mongo Atlas &  Ops Manager Administrations on AWS or any of the cloud platforms like GCP, AZURE
  • Responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MongoDB instances.
  • One should also be responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning of database on MongoDB.
  • Should be responsible for performing migrations (Both in-place and side-by-side).
  • Should have good exposure on replica sets and Sharding (horizontal scaling).
  • Should have experience on working with different MongoDB versions.
  • Provision MongoDB instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
  • Should have experience on working on clustered environments on AWS (or any other cloud provider).
  • Understanding of MongoDB?s underlying storage engines and architecture, such as MNAP and Wired Tiger.
  • Responsible to ensure high level performance, availability, sustainability and security.
  • Analyze, solve and troubleshoot issues in real time also assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Prioritize daily missions/cases and manage critical issues & situations.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
  • Provide root cause analysis for outages when appropriate.
  • Strong proficiency in MongoDB on-prim and over the cloud technologies database management
  • Experience on the replication concepts (Primary-Secondary (Arbiter)) in MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of advantages/limitations in MongoDB and their workarounds in contrast to other popular NoSQL/relational databases.
  • Knowledge on MongoDB utilities and tools like event scheduler, MongoDB compass, MongoDB Ops-Manager etc.
  • Hands-on experience as a MongoDB DBA on cloud platforms.

 


Cassandra DBA JD

  • 5+ years of relevant Experience with Cassandra Admin exposure.
  • Deep understanding of Cassandra Architecture & internal framework.
  • Design, develop and manage data on Cassandra cluster
  • Setting up Cassandra in Multizone clustered environment.
  • Installation of Cassandra and configuration of same in Cloud platforms
  • Experience in Add/bootstrap & Remove/Replace nodes in / to clusters.
  • Strong knowledge in Replication, Partitioning, clustering between data centres.
  • End-to-end performance tuning & Troubleshooting of Cassandra clusters
  • Cassandra DB maintenance / housekeeping activities
  • Software patches and upgrades
  • Capacity planning
  • Cassandra connectivity and Security in Cloud platforms


Monitoring

  • Hands on experience in Data Modeling, design & implementation
  • Establishing and driving standards within the team
  • Providing guidance to less experienced DBAs
