Current Position in Purchase for Project Buyer/Senior Project Buyer for
Stellantis -A Leading Automobile Manufacturer with multiple brands across the globe.
Overall Work Experience : Min 8 Years (8 to 12 Years)
Education: Qualified Engineer B.E & B.tech.
Location of Job: Chennai
Np- 15days to Immediate
Preferred to explore candidate with Min 4 year experience working with OE in Direct Purchase /Strategic Sourcing as Program buyer/Project Management/Serial life and Engg Liason.
Nature of Job:
Directly reporting to the Purchasing Project manager, the Project Program Buyer is in charge of below key metrics
Building the sourcing plan which lists the RFQ to be performed and corresponding schedule
Validating the robustness of the project target building, including part price,R&D costs and communicating the target to the buyers
Monitoring the good progress of the RFQ and the development kick-off
For project with a worldwide scope, coordinating purchasing activities with PPM from others regions (local /Global PPMs)
Close co ordination and Single point Interface representing Purchasing and active liaison with Engineering/Project Planning/Supplier Quality and Manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Steering pre-RFQ / RFQ
The project purchasing team (PPM +PPP) monitor the good respect of the RFQ timing by organizing Purchasing Technical Meeting (PTM) with the SMT teams and project teams (engineering, logistics, cost and quality).
Building target prices:
With the help of costs analysts, other projects benchmark and overall project cost target, validates the robustness of the RFQ target prices building and communicates to the buyer in charge of the RFQ the different targets : part price, SFT, PPST, R&D prototype price proposed by the Project Cost Manager.
Drive Supplier Selection with CFT
Sourcing Plan Metrics Drive and accelerate Key sourcing plan metrics with adequate leadership attention
Supplier selection performance for Part price/toolings/R&D ? in co ordination with Project Cost team
Aggressive co-ordination with Finance and payables team for ensuring no bottlenecks in project milestones due to PR/PO Payments.
Ease the convergence between the purchasing and the project teams, by sharing the respective constraints and stakes in order to get the best compromise and supplier for PSA groupe.
Ensure prompt supplier escalations are raised to project vehicle builds and during course of project milestone
