Oracle Apps DBA Consultant
Work you'll do
- As an Oracle Apps DBA you would be expected to,
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience on Oracle Apps DBA Administration.
- Have complete understanding of Oracle EBS Release 12.2.x Architecture and Technical concepts related to 'Applications and Database Administration' involving ASM, RMAN, Oracle Data Guard, Real Application Clusters and Oracle WebLogic.
- Hands-on experience in administration of Oracle EBS 12.1.3, Oracle EBS 12.2.x and Oracle ERP Cloud.
- Hands-on experience on Oracle Database Cloud Service deployments and administration.
- Independently work on EBS and Database Cloning, Patching, Troubleshooting, Installation, Performance Tuning, Automation and other related General Administration tasks.
- Must be skilled in sysadmin activities like user administration responsibilities, request groups, register forms, printer setup, register custom applications, etc.
- Monitor, Work and resolve DBA incidents without any assistance.
- Adhere to Service Level objectives agreed with client for resolution of issues.
- Available to work in shifts including night shift on rotation basis.
- On-call DBA Support on rotation basis.
- Should be able to manage shared services delivery catering to multiple clients.
- Be a team player and work with the team members across geographies to deliver innovative solutions to client.
- Create and maintain documentation relating to DBA processes and technical information
- Good Knowledge of Oracle OBIEE 12c
- Must be self-motivated with strong team orientation and the ability to learn quickly.
- Must be organized and capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must possess excellent Oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Required:
- Hands-on experience in Oracle EBS 12.1.3, Oracle EBS 12.2.x and Oracle ERP Cloud.
- Minimum 4 years of DBA support experience in Oracle Apps environments with strong hands-on experience in Troubleshooting, Cloning, Patching, Installation, Performance Tuning, Automation and other related General Administration tasks.
- Good understanding of SQL and PL/SQL
- Hands-on experience in Performance related issues, instance tuning, optimizing resource utilization etc
- Hands-on experience on various operating systems like AIX, HP-UX, Linux and Windows with good troubleshooting skills on related issues.
- Should be willing to work in 24x7 rotational shift
- Ability to write basic shell scripts and interpret shell scripts
- Strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS architecture
- Troubleshoot problems regarding the databases 12c,RAC
- applications and development tools - Provide cloning of 12.2 EBS systems and automation procedures
- Patch assessment and application in an Oracle 12.2 EBS environment
- Database and 12.2 Application tier cloning
- Experience with multi-tiered latest EBS Architecture - Experience with Oracle Application Framework Processing
- Experience as an Oracle Apps DBA with R12 experience
- Experience with multiple operating systems: Linux/Unix/Solaris/Windows and physical database design
- Experience with RAC database - Experience and knowledge in migrating code, database changes, Oracle quarterly patch installs
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware applications - Team player with positive attitude.
- Knowledge on OEM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Scripting: Basic operational, troubleshooting, and scripting knowledge.
Preferred:
- Good Unix Shell Scripting skills
- Understanding for code versioning tools(GIT,SVN)
