Job Purpose:

The Data Quality Vice President will lead and manage the bank-wide Data Quality activities and drive improvement in the overall health and wellness of the Bank?s data throughout the Organization. S/he will execute Data Quality Program Initiatives by providing strategic direction and management of the planning, development, and implementation of various projects and initiatives, driving improvements to maximize value of data quality, as well as providing guidance to functional area owners, IT leads and data stewards in resolving conflicts.


Job Responsibilities:

Execute Data Quality Program Initiatives

  •       Drive improvements to maximize value of data quality (e.g. drive changes to have access to required metadata to maximize impact of DQ, quantify the cost/impact of poor data quality).
  • Perform complex analyses to support business decisions. Provide feedback to management regarding results. Make recommendations on findings to management.
  •        Perform data quality activities (data quality rule creation and deployment, edit checks, identification of issues, root cause analysis, value case analysis, remediation planning and 2nd line of defense monitoring).
  •        Maintain and enhance Data Quality Score Card/ Metrics and Dashboard through QLIK data visualization
  •        Enhance and expand customer, account data visualization activities that help the business manage the data and there business processes
  •        Work as Data Governance lead to support strengthening the Data Steward role within the bank to ensure that the data are monitoring the quality of the data that they originate and consume
  •        Prepare and perform data quality Training throughout the bank advocating that data quality be incorporated into projects as well as the overall bank operations
  •        Coordinate Data Quality activities with the Data Governance team / Data Governance Committee and Data Governance Working Group (DGWG)
  •        Work with Data Governance lead to coordinate remediation activities with Data Governance, DGWG, Information Technology and business departments
  •        Work with team management to introduce tools and capabilities to enhance the Data Quality Program
  •        Lead representing CDO on internal audit, risk and regulatory reviews for data quality audits
  •        Support regulatory controls and requirements
  •        Provide technical and business expertise in selecting Data Quality and Governance tools


Data Quality Team Leadership

  •        Direct and monitor resources, which may or may not include direct supervisory responsibilities, but rather participants, project activities to ensure completion of data quality project(s)
