Roles and Responsibility

Job Title: Service Now Testing

Experience Required: 3-5 Years

Notice Period:  15 days to Immediate 

Location: Bangalore

 

Primary responsibility is to design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations to meet the needs of the organization. You will be expected to work with cross-functional teams to ensure that ServiceNow solutions align with business requirements and technical specifications.

 

Primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and reliability of ServiceNow applications by conducting comprehensive testing activities. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and system administrators, to develop test cases and validate the functionality, performance, and usability of ServiceNow solutions.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, create test plans, and define test objectives, strategies, and scope for ServiceNow applications. Identify test scenarios, test cases, and test data that adequately cover functional and non-functional requirements.

 

  • Test Execution: Perform various types of testing, including functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Execute test cases, record, and analyze test results, and track defects

 

  • Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using ServiceNow testing tools (such as ATF - Automated Test Framework) or other automation frameworks. Execute and maintain automated tests to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

 

  • Defect Management: Capture, track, and prioritize defects found during testing using defect tracking tools (such as Jira or ServiceNow IT Service Management). Work closely with developers to investigate, replicate, and resolve defects, and validate defect fixes.

 

  • Test Reporting: Prepare and communicate test status reports, including test progress, test coverage, and defect metrics. Provide clear and concise documentation of test processes, test cases, and test results to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure traceability.

 

  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure a common understanding of requirements and testing objectives. Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues in a timely and proactive manner.
