Job Title: Vehicle Dynamics Brake Performance Engineer
Experience: 4 to 8 Years

JOB Description:
· Brake validation test plan as per program milestone
deliverables. Time plan to meet the overall program timeline.
· Planning to execute the brake validation test.
Proto vehicle, proto samples, resource requirement planning. Risk assessment
and mitigation plan for long lead time activities.
· Test vehicle preparation, preparation of fixture,
adaptors, and brackets for sensors mounting in vehicle, instrumentation,
configuration, and troubleshooting. Risk assessment in executing the test.
· Ability to do Foundation brake validation, ABS/ESC
validation, NVH evaluation, Pulsation / Judder evaluation, Vacuum management
tests and Brake homologation tests independently. Verifying testing accuracy /
thoroughness and determining if additional testing is required.
· Post processing the objective data, analysis, and
report preparation. Interpret the data and proposals to meet the targets.
· Ability to do subjective assessment for pedal feel,
NVH and brake judder. interpret brand / customer verbatim into technical
parameters.
· Brake system sizing and performance prediction.
· Objective Ride comfort measurement in Proving
Ground / public road
· Should have good understanding of Benchmark vehicle
and able to asses Subjective/Objective vehicle dynamics attribute in
competitive vehicle.
· Excellent understanding of Homologation test for India
and Asia region vehicle specific requirement for Brake, steering, Handling
& vehicle architecture (ADR & Ground clearance).
· Must have excellent driving Dynamics skill to
evaluate vehicle subjectively & Objectively
· Candidate should have good understanding of all
instrument used in vehicle Dynamics test evaluation for ride, handling,
steering and Brake test
· should lead & coordinate with various global
team/Functional team for Vehicle dynamics discussion, target setting, root
cause analysis etc
· Candidate should have experience in performance
evaluation of ABS/ESC and able to set target for ABS/ESC, capable to evaluate
Low Mu/High Mu performance
Requirements:
· Valid driving license with relevant experience in
automotive brakes testing, must be familiar with vehicle testing methods and
process.
· Experience in DAQ Systems, brake test setup,
sensors / transducers fitment, instrumentation, calibration, and
troubleshooting, etc for objective testing.
· Knowledge of data analysis softwares.
· Sound knowledge on hydraulic brake system.
· Knowledge of brake regulation standards.
· Posses strong troubleshooting and analytical
skills.
· Good communication skills in an international
environment.
· Positive Attitude, pro-activeness, self-motivated
and an excellent team player.
· Excellent understanding of Brake system
architecture and contribution of different parameter in performance.
· Strong and complete understanding of
INDIAN/EUROPIAN Brake homologation test requirement for ECE R13H, Brake assist,
emergency Brake assist, iTPMS, ESC, ABS
· Should be Flexible in travel across country proving
ground and overseas based on requirement.
· Good Knowledge & Hands on experience in Vehicle
Dynamics domain
· Good Physical experience in RCA of vehicle dynamics
performance issue replated to ride comfort, handling, vehicle pull, brake
performance issue etc
· Good knowledge in static analytical calculations
and engineering fundamentals.
