Job Description:

Job Title: NVH Performance Engineer

Experience: 6 to 10 years

Location: Chennai

Notice period: Immediate to 15days


Roles & responsibilities:

  •        Thorough understanding in NVH test data acquisition, post-processing and knowledge of test tools like LMS data acquisition system, FFT analyser, Head acoustics etc.
  •        Good understanding of automotive full vehicle NVH function/science, acoustic package, NVH treatments, functional objectives and KPIs.
  •        Experience and knowledge on vehicle subjective evaluations from customer standpoint and its correlation with objective data/physical test measurements.
  •        Hands-on experience of vehicle NVH testing (ICE/BEV) on validation tracks, public roads and in anechoic chamber.
  •        Thorough knowledge of NVH DVPs including mainly powertrain noise and vibrations under WOT/POT driving conditions, road noise, Idle vibrations/noise, HVAC noise, wind noise, Electro-mechanical noise etc.
  •        Good understanding and experience of conducting vehicle regulatory compliance development tests including mainly pass-by-noise and AVAS requirements.
  •        Exposure to advance tools, techniques and practices in NVH field across Automobile industry.
  •        Experience on vehicle & sub-system/component level NVH testing & resolution of field issues.
  •        Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  •        Thorough understanding of vehicle development and product life cycle.
  •        Proactive in product development discussions with suppliers and cross functional teams.
  •        Must hold a valid driving license.
  •   Desirable: NVH CAE knowledge on Test/CAE correlation and its application on problem resolutions.
