Roles and
Responsibilities
· Building the Release Calendar in
working closely with Developers and Scrum Team
· Forward Plan the release windows and
cycles across Private Cloud portfolio
· Conduct Release Readiness reviews,
Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
· Produce Deployment, Run Books and
Implementation Plan
· Manage risks and resolves issues
that affect release scope, schedule and quality
· Measure and monitor progress to
ensure solution releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed
expectations
· Coordinate release content and
effort based on the service request backlog
· Communicate all key release plans,
commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope
changes
· Manage relationships and coordinate
work between different teams at different locations
· Monthly Release Reporting
· Communicate release details and
schedules to the Business as required
· Negotiate, plan and manage all
release activities
· Work with release engineers to
understand impacts of branches and code merges
· Maintains the release schedule for
all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
· Continually work towards making improvements
in the release process
· Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live
activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
· Develops scripts and automation
tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various
platforms
· Participate in CAB meetings to
discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
· Maintains a release repository and
manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and
notification lists
· Researches new software development
and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their
application to current configuration management needs
Required
Skills:
· Able to work within an Agile team to
take on a variety of stories to create cloud platform services and frameworks
to build our Private Cloud platform
· Able to use Azure DevOps tools such
as ADO
· Hands-on Experience with GitHub
workflow creation and update to help automate release management process to
align with DevOps CI/CD framework.
· Hands-on Experience with Aira
Automation productions such as SaaS based VRA, and VRO
· Working knowledge with Ansible,
Terraform
· Hands-on Experience with ITSM
process and ServiceNow
· Hands-on Experience with GitHub
actions such as branch creation, deletion, PR creation, PR merge, rollback
· Demonstrate knowledge on one or more
programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Powershell,
TpyeScript, Python, Bash
· Hands-on Experience with Maven, node
JS
· Hands-on Experience with Aria Build
Tool and Visual Studio Code
Responsibilities:
· Hands-on Experience coding with
Ansible and / or Terraform automation scripting languages
· Hands on experience with VMWare
Cloud Services
· vRealize Automation (VRA) - Cloud
Assembly, Codestream, ServiceBroker
· vRealize Orchestrator (VRO)
· Hands-on technical experience in
designing, building and securing Self-Service and Private
· Working with a GIT-compliant code
management sys (eg. Github, GitLab, BitBucket)
· Experience working in DevOps
environment with an ability to script/code
· Prior experience writing in at least
two of the following (Bash, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)
Must Have
Skills:
· Overall 3+ years of experience
· Knowledge of release management
process (1-2 years)
· Hands on exp with automation
products like VRA, VRO, AWX (minimum 3 years)
· Hands on Python/PowerShell/Shell,
Ansible (minimum 3 years)
· Knows ITSM process and ServiceNow
(minimum 3 years)
· Hands-on Experience with GitHub

network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, packet analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in computer science
or related field - BE (IT/CS/E&TC), B-Tech (IT/CS/E&TC), MCA, MCS/Msc.
(in CS), M-Tech (IT/CS/E&TC)
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate
cross-function work teams towards task completion
· Advanced written and verbal
communication skills are a must
· Demonstrated effective leadership
and analytical kills
· Advanced knowledge of software
development lifecycle
