Roles and Responsibility

Job Title: Equities Securities Settlements - Analyst

Experience: 1-3 years

Notice period: Immediate to 15 days

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

·       Monitor settlement activities and ensure securities are allocated correctly and in a timely manner.

·       Coordinate with Trading Desk to secure borrows and facilitate settlements as per trade agreements.

·       Resolve queries and discrepancies related to failing trades, cash positions, and securities inventories.

·       Investigate and resolve discrepancies in positions (cash and securities) recorded in the firm's books.

·       Complete daily checklists to ensure adherence to controls, procedures, and processes.

·       Act as a change agent by identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.

·       Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Trading and Sales Desks, Engineering, and Operations teams.

·       Maintain exceptional client service standards and build strong relationships with clients and team members.

·       Adhere to strict deadlines and escalate issues promptly with clear communication.

·       Stay updated with industry trends, market knowledge, and vendor platforms relevant to securities settlements.

Skills and Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.

·       1-3 years of experience in Securities Settlements, Inventory Management, Trade Support, or Securities Middle Office roles.

·       Knowledge of Equities industry and market operations is advantageous.

·       Experience with vendor platforms such as Easyway and IAQ is a plus.

·       Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, meeting strict deadlines with zero tolerance for errors.

·       Flexibility to work on projects and collaborate with team members as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Professional certifications related to securities settlements or financial markets are beneficial.

·       Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to securities settlements.

·       Experience in using tools and software for securities settlements operations.
