Roles and Responsibility

 Job Title: Shell scripting developer

Experience: 5-10 Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

·       Develop, test, and maintain shell scripts (Bash, KornShell, etc.) to automate routine tasks and processes.

·       Write scripts to manage system backups, file transfers, log analysis, and system monitoring.

·       Collaborate with system administrators to automate system configuration, deployment, and management tasks.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to shell scripts and automation processes.

·       Optimize scripts for performance and efficiency.

·       Conduct regular reviews and refactoring of existing scripts to improve functionality and reliability.

·       Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed scripts, including usage instructions and troubleshooting guides.

·       Keep records of changes and updates to scripts and automation processes.

·       Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design automation solutions.

·       Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

·       Ensure scripts adhere to security best practices and organizational policies.

·       Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to track script execution and system performance.
